This is DrAliyahDude, the blog chronicling the adventures of a new immigrant medic. From touching down at Ben Gurion airport, to landing a job, the pentathlon challenge of getting a bank account, biometric ID, health insurance card, "benefits" from the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, Israeli driver's license and appointment in 3 months' time for an Israeli passport.

While the wheels on this site start turning around, feel free to sit back and enjoy the daily ups and downs as I navigate officialdom, my future professional- as well as personal moments, with wit, a touch of sarcasm and lots of smiles, laughter and grit.
